Sophie. Awakened from her dream. Everything was peaceful and simple, logical really. She awakens. She learns about the world around her. Everything she knew to be real turned out to be an illusion. Her reality changes from a beautiful, simplistic environment to fear, chaos and despair and gets lost in time. She awakens in a dream, a nightmare. With time she learns to adapt to failed expectations, before she vanishes peacefully into nature. Sophie is the personification of the search for wisdom. The search for Sophie.
After three-and-a-half years of composing, arranging and rehearsing, the Utrecht-based Forsophie delivers her debut: a touching story about love, happiness and meaning. Musically influenced by Muse, Radiohead, Mono and Sigur Ros, this young quartet finds its warm and honest sound in higher atmospheres, moving melodies and intense bombastique. From 2010 onwards, Forsophie will play on national and European stages. The album will be released as a stream, download and on CD in February.
